Fire Protection

The Conquest is fitted with temperature sensors located in both engine compartments and both inboard wing leading edges between the fuselage and the engine nacelles. These will detect any excessive temperatures and indicate them to the pilot through various lights on the annunciator panel.

Temp sensing wire in the engine compartment Temp sensor located inboard wing leading edge.

These sensors control warning lights on the annunciator panel to indicate to the pilot that excessive temperatures are present either in the engine compartment or the wing leading edge. This could be due to a fire in the engine compartment or due to failure of a bleed air line or an electrical fire in the wing leading edge.
